Kurt and Jeannie Bares were the best landlords I've ever had. They gave us advanced notice anytime they came to the property, inside or outside. They responded to requests for repairs quickly. They made replacements (like the water heater) on a recommended schedule instead of waiting until it broke. They tested our home for radon (not legally required!) and kept us informed on water quality projects that the city was working on with older houses. Otherwise they left us alone! Highly recommend.
