MAISON PROPERTY MANAGEMENT...


MAISON PROPERTY MANAGEMENT @ 1625 EAST AVE ROCHESTER, NY 14610. (44 Field St. is their main office) 


I don't even know where to begin other than to say RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT MANAGEMENT AS POSSIBLE!!! DON'T WALK, BUT ACTUALLY RUN. 


The management themselves at first were responsive and very helpful. NOW THEY DON'T RESPOND TO MAINTENANCE REQUESTS AND CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON. SEE MY MAINTENANCE REQUESTS BELOW ON THE PORTAL. IGNORED FOR MONTHS. 


Give it a few months and they stop responding to your emails with the exception of the person who does the leases. She will forward your emails to maintenance or the head guy, but nothing will be done about it unless you kiss their *****. I pay to live here. I am not kissing anyone's ***** for doing what the signed lease states. Except the lady in the leasing office who is very helpful, but she can't force maintenance to do anything or make them GET OFF YOUR ***** AND DO YOUR JOB!!!. And they don't care at all about you. As long as they have your money, nothing else matters. That is the honest truth. 


OH, IF YOU SEE THAT THEY HAVE COIN OPERATED LAUNDRY

FACILITIES IT IS A COMPLETE JOKE. WE HAVE HAD ONE WORKING WASHING (DISGUSTING TO USE) MACHINE FOR THE ENTIRE BUILDING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW. THEY LEAVE THEM BROKEN AND DON'T CARE ABOUT FIXING ANYTHING UNLESS THEY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BY LAW. 


WE HAVE DRUG ADDICTS WHO ARE ALSO ALCOHOLICS WHO TRY TO BREAK INTO YOUR HOME HERE. YOUR SAFE PLACE. MORE THEN ONCE. YOU SEND THEM THE RING CAM VIDEO ITSELF...THEY DO NOTHING EXPECT VERBAL WARNINGS THAT I CAN SEE. JUST "WE HANDLED IT." YEAH RIGHT THEN WHY HAS THIS BEHAVIOR LASTED OVER A YEAR AND A HALF?


Upon move in, I was told by the old property manager who sold me on this dump that the new owner "she is going to revitalize the building and many great things are to come." 


Huh? Nothing has improved but seriously gone down hill. My electronics all needed to be replaced with very little help from the owner after they blamed me initially for having too many things plugged in. I can't run my coffee maker, have 1 light on and heat up breakfast, without the lights flickering and the brownouts beginning. 


After their very old electric system blew up everything I owned, I demanded an electrician come out at their expense to inspect the place. Let's just say I have an hour and a half on video taken that day and he said he would have never "in a million years ever allowed this place to pass inspection.


" He said it's a "tinderbox ready to blow." MY TV, KEURIG, MICROWAVE, ROOM HEATER, ETC. all blown up. Never all used at once, just plugged in. They provided a few hundred to "replace my items"... It was well over $1000 and I had the inspection recorded, and will use it if I have any retaliation whatsoever. My apartment was wired backwards with no ground at all per their electrician. He said the entire building is most likely the same. 


Letters and landlord complaints have been filed with the code enforcement office locally and at the state levels. For the 2nd time. 


They don't clean most of the building except vacuuming once in awhile, except for move outs and renovated units which mine was still with backwards wiring and what I said above. I have't had any, but I have heard of HUGE bed bug and other bug problems. I will say they are on top of that with their contractor.

BUT B SURE T BRING EXTRA QUARTERS AS THE WASHER STEALS QUARTERS AND THE DRYERS A LOT OF THE TIME. YOU TELL THEM, THEY DON'T CARE. I'M WITHHOLDING IT FROM MY OCTOBER RENT PER THE STATE LAW. YOU WRITE MAINTENANCE REQUESTS N THE PORTAL AS YOU WILL SEE BELOW THEY GO IGNORED FOR MONTHS.

Maison started out great , and then they...
Maison started out great , and then they switched property managers recently and it turned into a nightmare. When I complained about the lack of response after multiple ceiling tiles in my home have fallen, instead of fixing them , the property manager mark added false charges to my account . I have never had an issue with maintenance , they call or text before they’re arriving and just make sure I’m home and that we can get everything done. At the time of this there was no text no call I waited at home for hours only to receive in the app a notification that I was charged for refusing entry . When trying to contact them about this fee and another fee they tacked onto my account there was no assistance. Instead A late fee was added on to the fee I shouldn’t have been paying in the first place. I have never seen such disrespect and negligence in a property manager. The company has gone down and I do NOT recommend renting from them until they hire better management

I signed a lease in January that was to start in May. Maison sent me a note telling me they were not honoring the agreement! Since that time Maison has not once answered ONE of my phone calls! We had to call 911 because a pipe broke on the 2nd floor and poured down three floors into the basement apartments. Maison did not respond until long after the fire department left. I had a dead animal in a wall. I called and complained. THEY DID NOTHING for 1 month it stank!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS First off Victoria forced a 695$ month rate on me when the ad posted was 675$. And she was very unclear what was included and what was not. The cleaning personnel don’t like their job so they do a poor job of cleaning and used racist slurs while in my home as well as threats When I brought their behavior to the attention of the staff and it was blown of as a disagreement and I was screamed at and hung up on by Victoria a leasing agent for trying to make sure that they don’t find that behavior acceptable. She refused The maintenance crew is impossible to communicate with, they have an attitude, they do a terrible job band aiding things and refuse to make a real fix. One guy patched a sliding door for me and then struggle for 3 minutes trying to slide the door and said there you go all set....the door still barely moves. I have exposed unfinished wood under my bathtub that was covered in cat feces and urine when I first moved in. (Keep in mind I have photo documented all these claims) It took all weekend to get someone to come clean it up and they didn’t do it thoroughly, the second person came and did a bit better but all they used was a shop vac. And after all that I still had to clean up more cat feces left by them. That was all they did about the matter......so there is urine and feces soaked wood still under my tub emitting ammonia mostly when it gets hot. One day my upstairs neighbors flooded their bathroom and destroyed the ceiling tiles and they kept crumbling on me, they were replaced quickly which is great and but my toilet, my bath tub, any surface really, near my toothbrush they left mouse droppings and more questionable and gross debris from the ceiling. ********WARNING********** IF YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THINGS, AND IF YOU HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS THEY WILL RETALIATE IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER. They will go as far as to attempt to cancel your lease, for you out for asking them to have some professionalism. They will not accept anyone that that stands up for themselves or what’s right Stay tuned there’s more to come..... lots more A few months after I moved in two girls moved in above me/ the previous neighbors we sweet and easy to get along with. The two new tenants were very hostile when I told them to please stop slamming their door hard enough to knock my pictures off the wall. They retaliated by yelling at me through to wall threatening to ‘beat my *****’, slamming the door harder and stomping around harder. I communicated thoroughly with the landlords and they did reach out the the new tenants and I thought everything was fine One day I get a call while I had been out of town for a weekend. It was John head of maintenance accusing me of yelling and ***** disturbing the upstairs neighbors. I had my mother verify I was three hours away with both my pets. John refused to answer my question of “how am I making noice from 3 hours away”. When I got upset that he would not answer that he hung up on me. Then I got an email that they want to terminate my lease. I call them and they said well since you’re so upset with us just go (Mind you I have no interest in moving this is my home and it would cause me a great headache to be forced to move) SO BECAUSE THEY MESSED UP AND REFUSE TO ADMIT IT, AND BECAUSE I WAS UPSET FOR GOOD REASON THEY ARE RETALIATING BY FORCING MY FROM But at this very moment I’m attempting to corral another bat out of my apartment. Maison is now refusing to take my calls or respond to any of my communication.

Our original landlord was bought out during covid. We were never late on rent before covid but we explained to Nicole that we would pay her every penny owed. She would say" thank you for letting me know, no problem " and then she would send people to my home under the pretense they were from the court house. She's also so smart that instead of calling them late fees she calls them "14 day notice fees" and charges 25$ for each copy that 75$ in late fees each month .
