STAY AWAY. We lived here from 2014-2016 and all of it was a nightmare. Edith & her husband Ben own this without a property management group-- Edith seemed to manage the money side and her husband the maintenance side. Her husband was always around, making snide comments, yelling at us for doing things like trying to fix the sink drain in a way he didn't like (using drain solution) despite him not coming and fixing it after we had told him so many times?? living there was SO STRESSFUL. also they rent as-is so they will not do things like repaint walls, etc. The apartment itself was beautiful at first glance (large, lots of light) but everything is slowly breaking down and absolutely nothing was worth the stress of those people.

Bullied me into renewing lease. Lived there for 3 years & never had hot water. I didn’t pay a month’s rent on advice from the Chicago Rental Hotline to try to negotiate getting hot water and a functional toilet & they were really mean about it. Entered my apartment without asking more than once. Horrifying people.
